Road Trip To The Adventure Van Expo
With the completion of The Roamer, built on a 2021 144" Mercedes Sprinter 3500XD, it was time to embark on a road trip from San Diego up to Placerville, CA for the Adventure Van Expo. It’s a solid 9 hour drive but we didn’t care since we got to spend some quality time in our newest Sprinter van build!
After many months of planning, engineering and building, we couldn’t be any happier about how this custom van build turned out. We added all the bells and whistles (we couldn’t skimp…its a show van after all!) including our highest interior trim package, a full Baja Designs lighting system, 600 amp hours of Relion lithium batteries, Van Speed roof rack, side flares and bumper, and even a light-up countertop and backsplash.
Hitting the road…
See ya later San Diego! We stocked up the fridge, gassed up the van and took off. We were looking forward to seeing how the Sprinter performed with the added weight of our build….safe to say it was amazing and it felt just like the Mercedes sedan I daily drive.
A quick pit stop…
Ya, ya…we know there’s a full kitchen in our Sprinter van, but we couldn’t resist stopping for a burger at In N Out.
Pretty cool to see their big distribution center with all the semi-trucks. They made our little Sprinter van look like a toy.
Pulling up to the Adventure Van Expo…
We made it to the van expo and we were PUMPED!!!! We finally get to show this custom van build to the world.
